Our Smiley Baby

Keiser is a very content and happy baby. He smiles when I visit with him, he smiles when Daddy rough-houses him, he smiles in his sleep and he even smiles when the girls smother him.
But can I ever catch it on camera? NO
I finally caught the end of a big smile.

My Baby is 5!

For nearly a year now Kambell has been so excited to turn 5. You'd think life was changing drastically the way she talked. When she turns 5 she is going to buckle up by herself, she's going to eat all her dinner, she's going to start Kindergarten...it became the reason for so many things. So we decided we needed to really celebrate this "life changing" event. So she invited 5 friends (including her little sister) for a Tea Party. They dined on chocolate covered strawberries, tea sandwiches in the shape of flowers and butterflies, pink and purple marshmallows, rice krispy treats, chocolate candies of all sorts and tea (lemonade or raspberry juice). The girls each got purple satin elbow gloves adorned with "diamonds." They got colorful beaded necklaces and jeweled rings and to top it off...lipgloss. The table was set and after singing happy birthday to Kambell she said "dig in." So they did.

I put up a ring of tulle (left over from my sister's wedding) and decorated it with butterflies. It draped over our "kid sized" recliner...a perfect place for the little princess to open her gifts. She got coloring books, bubbles, jewelry, movies, ice cream gift card, pajamas, books, fingerpaints, and so many fun things. It was a fun party.

The hit of the party had to be Keiser. They gathered around him in his little bouncy seat and kissed on him over and over and over.

That night the celebrating continued with a small family gathering.
Kasey hooked Kambell up with all the T-ball necessities.
Not sure who was more excited about that one!

Grandma and Grandpa got her a very fashionable basketball.
It already had to be retrieved from the neighbor's "creek" across the road.
She also got all the necessities for ballet because
that was one of those "things to do when I turn 5."

The next day we were off to Bruneau to help brand and of course have more birthday!
Thanks for the tasty cake Aunt Kelli.

Notice Keiser in the background...he's the one in the hula hoop.

Time for a slumber party with Paisley at Mamm & Pappy's.

It was windy down at the arena so the girls and I snuggled up during the branding.

Our Weekends

Lately our weekends have consisted of swimming lessons in the morning then clean up duty in the afternoon. Kambell and Kinlee started lessons the beginning of March. So far so good. Kinlee had a smile on her face the entire time. Kambell was enjoying herself but a little more careful. Their instructor Sarah is very good. I was the only mother there with a video camera though...I'll let Kasey take them next time.

My intentions are to introduce them to water in a positive way...that way maybe they won't have the fear of it that I do!

Kasey and his family have been working around their ranch the last several weekends. Cleaning it up has given them all a great feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. There is smoke rolling out of that place every Saturday and Sunday! Here is Kambell loving every minute of it! Her and Kinlee have been down there in their snowsuits most weekends "helping" their dad.
